Programs not opening (exe files not executing)
With exception of the disruption at creating new POIs, and now an apparent general login-malfunction if accessed via Ubuntu, movescount seems to work. Whats about these two issues? ThomasR The purpose of this forum is basically to test and discuss Suunto App.
Be it hardware or software related issues, the products are just more dependable. Ueli what a man. And they rather do their job right. I was also thinking about investing in the S9 Baro.
But Ambit was proven by customers for thousands of thousands of hours… I bet the newer watches from Suunto will evolve to be great watches with a decent reputation. But today the Ambits are still top notch! Suunto has set a very high benchmark with the Ambit that is very hard to compete with. Nickcj i think you found the elefant in the room!
But the Suunto one is exactly what it should be. I agree with the reviewer, my digits are fat too and I have no issues planning routes even as long as 50k. Import is a breeze for GPX files.
By far and away this is the very best feature of the app, far, far, far better than my experience on MC.Why is my brother printer printing negative
All we are missing are waypoints! Thanks all for the comments, I am glad I am not the only person suffering with this. Using a 3rd party software - again seems an overkill for a feature that WAS there before why on earth do I need to mess about with 3rd party software.
Thats the Reason I spent quid …to avoid this in the first instance. If I wanted that faff around factor I would of simply purchased a cheaper watch!
Just done a mountaineering session yesterday - none of the analysis is there which sucks.Baixar instrumental de naija do kamal a la
Overall if this was a car you were buying and a manufacturer decided that actually what we will do is issue a half baked software update to the car that lets you only drive at 30mph. Not what you purchased. It feels like Suunto are trying to compete with Apple Watch for all the useless step counters and calories burnt etc.How to reset anker power bank
And forgot their core customer base - if I wanted that crap I would of got a Fitbit for a fraction of the price. Again thank for all the comments guys, I genuinely thought I was the only person who felt like that, and I genuinely hope that Bulkan is right around Suunto listening to their customers and get their head out of the sand and let Apple do Apple and Suunto do Suunto.
Nickcj said in I am sooo confused and frustrated by this migration :. A couple of questions for you. I do a lot of SkiMo so perhaps I can help. You state none of the analysis is there. Which OS?Irene poli

The Moveslink2 installprogram does not work, but I copied the necessary files from an installation on a Windows 7 PC into a created folder on the Linux desktop and I could start the app already.
Than I copied the file "Settings. It did found the watch and synced without problems. I made a screenshot after the sync. Maybe this is helpfull for someone with a watch not supported by OpenAmbit yet. I don't have a cable with me at the moment, but my guess is it's created after you entered details for Movescount and for that you first have to connect your watch.
Yes, I am aware of the files there. There you can also find older Moveslink2 versions or currently the beta 1. The Settings. You can create an account if not done already using their website and add your email address and serialnumber manually into the xml file.

Hi, just tested again if original MovesLink2 1. I am quite sure that SuuntoLink for the Spartan is running too this way. This comment has been minimized. When I first plugged the watch into the SP3's USB port after the update, rather than starting up Moveslink2 automatically, the computer recognized the watch as "Ambit" and did a little something like plugging in a new thumb drive for the first time and then nothing. When I try to start Moveslink2 manually, it shows up in the taskbar for a few seconds, and then shuts down on its own.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Moveslink2, but that did not help. When I plug in the watch now, it does the connection sound, and it charges the watch, but that's all. Unlike Garmins, the watch never appeared as a drive under My Computer. It still doesn't, so I can't copy files that way.
I'm resorting to using my old laptop that has Windows 7 to download data from my watch. Does anyone have a tip on how to make Moveslink2 work on my computer? I've reported this problem through the Feedback Hub, but I'm not sure it will get through to someone that can fix things.
While I'm here, I'll report an older problem with Moveslink2 and my Surface Pro 3 that started over a year ago after an update. After a hibernation, Moveslink2 doesn't start up on it's own when the watch is plugged it.Leather handle knife restoration
If Moveslink2 is then started manually, it does not recognize the watch. Instead the computer needs a full restart before it will work normally. This problem has persisted since about Spring Is this a Windows bug?
Or something that Suunto should be fixing? Did this solve your problem? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. April 7, Keep in touch and stay productive with Teams and Officeeven when you're working remotely. Site Feedback. If your Suunto watch is not recognized by SuuntoLink, the following steps may resolve the problem: 1. Connect your watch to your computer using the supplied Suunto USB cable. Connect to a USB port that is integrated into your computer.
Avoid using USB hubs, port replicators or similar peripherals. Ensure that the USB cable is squarely attached to your watch so that all connector pins are in the right place. Restart your computer, open SuuntoLink, and then connection your watch.
If this does not help, try rebooting the watch by keeping the upper right button pressed for 12 seconds. Re-connect the watch after the reboot. Older Windows versions With older versions of Windows, the needed device drivers may not have been installed correctly. To ensure everything is installed correctly, please do the following:. Disconnect your watch from the computer and close SuuntoLink by clicking on the "x" icon in the upper left corner of the window. Install all required updates for your version of Windows.
The migration from movescount web to SA is quite well explained. I guess I should be able to do it without too many issues. My concern is about the GPX file management after the migration is done I mean without using movescount web. How will I do proceed with Sunnto app for Android?
I could not find the information of FAQ pages. Mff73 said in I want to use Suunto app instead of Movescount but Usually the following happens :. You will find the same issues and frustrations in a different form. I think once the transition is complete only 1 and 2 will still be done. Moveslink is still the only way to upgrade firmware. I too still sync my Suunto 9 only with Movescount, although I almost never plug it into laptop and sync with Movescount app only.
There is no difference. Even if you need to sync sport mode customization or a route that still works via Movescount app. The main person on the forum helps to develop Suunto app software and collects the most requested features so that these can be implemented into SA. Please refrain from making personally insulting comments or I will have to remove those particular posts.
I would appreciate it if you can be constructive. If you do not like the app and think it is not useful that is fine, you are welcome to your opinion and welcome to voice it but the insults are offensive.

I do not follow the Suunto news that much and was only aware of these developments the e-mail sent out by Suunto end of April. Very well put! My father was an avid Ambit user.
After a while I got jealous and bought my Ambit 2 late For me it looked better than a Garmin or Polar, because I felt I could do more with it then just go running or cycling for example by having the many different sport modes, which I could even customise.
So my vote goes to a platform that can be accessed on a pc, where I can upload data, download routes I create, create sport modes, … and connect with my cable.
Any replacement should have the same capabilities as Movescount. As an engineer I have always been a freak for numbers and love the analysis I can do of my work-outs or outdoor trips in the mountains. What is the best way to follow the news on this subject and where can we show Suunto that we would not like movescount to disappear? P Yes, this is absolutely essential!! Or, better still, why they do not open the USB communication protocol for the Ambit so people could come up with their own code?
What are they afraid off? A proper plan would have been to listen, gather feedback and come up with a ready to use App and web interface. It does not need to be perfect in the beginning, but it needs to be there. I hope for Suunto and even more for all users!
There are several companies that almost closed down because of wrong planning and product release. Mff73 Right. Good point. Beta or store version? J jsuarez OK.
I missed this information. Thank you. I had everything set up with tags and now this very useful feature is gone and my tags were lost with the transfer to the new platform. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted, time to move on and forget about Suunto. Yeah I guess so, but in the meantime I have no good solution to use my Traverse. Oh well, it is what it is. I could be satisfied if I had those.
